God sent rain but He did not wash away …

Besides learning to appreciate the growing, harvesting, and processing of the magical bean known as coffee (& enjoying some quality single origin coffee) while exploring Uganda with my client Endiro Coffee, God left a mark in my life as he allowed me to leave a mark on this Pearl Of Africa. Design Inspiration | Story of God • Love Through Adversity

“May the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you, so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints.” – Paul to the Thessalonians (1 Thessalonians 3:12-13)

The founding of the church in Thessalonica was mentioned in Acts 17:1-9 and in his letter to them, Paul encouraged the church to continue to walk in the way that pleases God (1 Thessalonians 4:1-8) and not grow weary (2 Thessalonians 3:13).

The First and Second Book of Thessalonians are amongst many other letters Paul wrote to the churches.

Design Inspiration | Story of God • Faith In Action

My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, “You sit here in a good place,” while you say to the poor man, “You stand over there,” or, “Sit down at my feet,” have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? – James 2:1-4

James, the author of the Book of James, is referred to as one of the pillars of the church (Galatians 2:9). He, along with Peter and Paul, were present at the Jerusalem Council (Acts 15) affirming the decision to take the gospel message to the Gentiles.

In this letter, James warned against partiality and how it contradicts faith in Christ. It reminds us that if we are truly God’s people, our lives should produce deeds or fruits that reflect His love and impartiality.
